Book Review - Predictably Irrational Book by Dan Ariely

While just reading the book .. came across this concept and couldn't stop myself from sharing ...
being a shopaholic ๐ฌ.. definitely worth reading ๐
“FREE”
If something is free, it gonna be hot, everybody wants to get it without thinking. But, this is totally human nature,since we compare something free with something NOT ๐๐
However, have you ever considered about their truly "price"? Don't get mad and think " What is the damn price for something free?????"๐ก
First, we easily realize that we are afraid of Loss (if it not worth the money we pay) and there is no possible loss when you get something for Free. That is the basic point here for the fancy about all the FREE stuff ๐คจ
Secondly, our irrational mind can be seen clearly in the experiment about chocolate that Dan Ariely mentioned in His book๐. To summarize, the customers tend to change their mind immediately when the word "FREE" shows up and opposite their choice at first, even the discounted money is the same.
Lastly, companies are always happy with this, the very irrational mind of customers: give free presents if you buy a specific amount of goods, buy one and get one free, free shipping with the big amount, etc. Of course, when the word Free shows up, the customers act as the companies have predicted ๐ค
Do you think that the company get any losses? NOT at all, they get more than you can think ๐.
By using the strategy "FREE", which all the free stuff have been secretly charged before you get them, they encourage their market share also increase the consumption, and so many more advantages that we never can think of ๐ฎ
Do you still think that you pay nothing when you get something for free? and even if you know that "something free is not that free☹️" you still cannot control your "Irrational mind" but to consider more carefully when making decision. ๐คท♀️
