Book Review - The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck Book by Mark Manson
Rating: 5/5
Take Away:
“The desire for more positive experience is itself a negative experience. And, paradoxically, the acceptance of one’s negative experience is itself a positive experience.”
“Self-improvement and success often occur together. But that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re the same thing.”
Masterpiece, incredibly funny
I laughed until I snorted and cried until I shriveled
The first half (especially first chapter) of it was my favorite, the aim of this book is to help the reader to think a little bit more clearly about what they’re choosing to find important in life and what they’re choosing to find unimportant. And I think this comes with Maturity and age.. but after reading this you don’t need to wait for that ππ #growupbyactions
Mark is as painfully honest as he is outrageously funny.
Instead of aiming for an unattainably perfect, problem free, feel-good life, he suggests asking the essential question, “What problem do you want to have?”
Also by the time you finish reading it, you’ll find yourself tingling with promise.
The world suddenly seems brighter and lighter.
You’ll feel free, and oddly, good, despite the shit sandwiches served throughout the book. And it won’t be the surfacey french fry kind of good that makes your body crave real nourishment, but the kind of home-cooked-goodness good that warms you from deep within, like you’ve just been served a hearty platter of whole, raw, organic, unfiltered truth.
P.S. Don’t Blink it.... Read it!!!!! ππΌ
