Life is nothing but a series of blocks, that we put one on top of another, one piece, one choice, stacking it up as we go along. A monument that is unfinished even in death. But if done right, then meaningful all the same. But what if you gave someone else the power to shift your blocks, rearrange them, change the order, what would you be left with eventually, except a life of someone else’s design?

A light and sweet story that will give you the right amount of laughter, emotions, love, drama and a handful of beautiful quotes. Sassy and captivating, Quick, easy and overall a fun read. I just couldn't put the book down, so basically finished it in some hours.

This is one of those books, that you read between emotionally taxing ones to just decompress. There's something wonderful about the way Twinkle Khanna writes that makes everything come alive.

This book reminds me of Saratchandra's vivid imagery through words.

Pyjamas are Forgiving (Juggernaut Books, 2018) was released on September 2018 and debuted at number 1 on the Nielsen Book scan All-India Bestseller List.

This is a book about a middle-aged divorced woman named, Anshu. The story starts with her arrival at Kerala’s Shanthamaya Spa.

Anshu, the protagonist of the book is a woman with whom you would feel a special connect because she goes through the similar emotions many of us (or many around us) go through often. Awry, plump divorcee in her 40s. We meet her at Shanthamaya Sthalam in Kerala, this place is an Ayurvedic spa which is over-expensive but does offer good results. She has been coming to biennially for years.

Various people and events happening in her life during the 28 days of the treatment period at the spa is elaborately described in the book. Things take a turn, from an otherwise smooth track, when Anshu’s Ex-husband and his Second YOUNG wife arrive at the same spa. Their presence at the spa disturbs Anshu’s Peace of Mind. The book unfolds further with various fun incidences happening around the spa, secluded meetings of Anshu and her ex-husband and the increasing sexual tension between the two.

If you like the writing style of this author, then you should give this a try. A light read it was. I was hoping to see more of her magic of witty writing and was a bit disappointed as I personally didn't like the ending and felt that the book ended in a very weird and abrupt way, however this is written for all those women who, own the scars, the cellulite, as well as the beauty spots. There are cameos that will make you laugh out loud, and also recognize people from your own life.

But nevertheless, you may give it a shot as it is a simple read.
